Private Dining at Barano
Set beside the glow of Barano’s open kitchen, our semi-private dining room was designed for long dinners, flowing wine, and spirited gatherings. Framed by Venetian plaster walls, reclaimed wood, patina mirrors, and hand-set Moroccan tile, the room carries the warmth and energy of a lived-in Italian dining house with a distinctly Brooklyn point of view.
Designed by Home Studios Barano accommodates small intimate gatherings of 12-15 guests, throughout the dinning room, as well as larger celebrations of 20-30 guests, full restaurant buyouts, and events tailored to the occasion — from intimate birthday dinners and business gatherings to rehearsal dinners and family-style feasts.
Guests also have the option to fully customize their menu in collaboration with chef-owner Albert DiMeglio, whose 35-year New York culinary career spans some of the city’s most celebrated kitchens and hospitality institutions.

Barano’s menu is built for gathering — from wood-fired sourdough pizzas and handmade pastas to large-format dishes, seasonal Southern Italian cooking, and generous family-style spreads designed to share. Guests have the option to customize their menu in collaboration with chef-owner Albert DiMeglio, creating anything from intimate wine dinners to lively celebratory feasts. Rooted in Italian tradition with a bold contemporary edge, the food is designed to bring people together around the table.
